At BarBeauty, we offer advanced skin rejuvenation with ProCell Microchanneling. This innovative treatment uses a device with ultra-fine needles to create controlled micro-channels in the skin, stimulating the body’s natural repair processes. These micro-channels promote collagen and elastin production and enhance the absorption of growth factors and serums applied during the procedure. The result is improved skin texture, reduced fine lines and wrinkles, and diminished appearance of scars and hyperpigmentation.

The Procedure

ProCell Microchanneling treatments typically last about 60 minutes. The process begins with double cleansing to prepare the skin. Next, our experienced practitioners perform microchanneling, followed by the application of a sheet mask and LED therapy to soothe and nourish the skin. The microchannels created by the device allow for deeper penetration of the serums, boosting their effectiveness.

Your body will then work to repair these micro-channels by producing more collagen and elastin, which strengthens and thickens the skin, improving its overall quality and texture.

Prior to the procedure, we recommend avoiding non-steroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs), Vitamin E, aspirin, St. John’s Wort, and alcohol to reduce the risk of bruising and bleeding. Staying well-hydrated before and after the treatment is also advised.

Who Should Avoid Microchanneling?

We do not recommend this treatment for individuals who are pregnant or breastfeeding, as the safety of the procedure for the developing fetus or breastfeeding child has not been established. Additionally, those with allergies to any components used in the treatment, bleeding disorders, or severe allergic reactions should avoid microchanneling. We also advise against the procedure if there is an active injury near the treatment area.

When Can You Expect Results?

Following your microchanneling treatment, you may experience mild redness and sensitivity, which typically subsides within a few days. Full results are usually seen about one month after your third treatment, as the body needs time to produce the collagen and elastin that will revitalize your skin.

Will You Need More Than One Treatment?

For optimal results, we recommend a series of three treatments spaced three weeks apart. To maintain your glowing results, you can repeat the procedure once or twice a year.

Are There Any Side Effects?

You may experience slight bleeding during the treatment. Post-treatment, some swelling, bruising, and redness around the treated area is common and should resolve within two weeks. Some patients may also feel a mild burning sensation, which typically subsides quickly. Raised bumps may appear for 24-72 hours post-treatment. To avoid any complications, refrain from wearing makeup and engaging in strenuous exercise for 24 hours after the procedure.
